Police claim man charged for deadly DUI crash has arrest history

A man was recently involved in a deadly drunk driving accident, and he's being charged. According to the police, this isn't the first time he's been in trouble, as they say he has a history of DUI arrests—though none for fatal accidents.

The man lives in Williams Township, Pennsylvania, and he is 36 years old.

The deadly crash happened three days after Christmas, on Dec. 28. According to police records, the driver had also been pulled over for drunk driving just one day before, on the 27th.

In addition, the man has three pending charges for driving under the influence in New Jersey. His family lives in the east coast state, so he got the charges while closer to them. On top of those charges, he is also facing charges for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The most recent incident, in Pennsylvania, showed that his Blood Alcohol Concentration was double the max allowed by state law, at 0.16. He was heading down South Delaware Drive when his car apparently went over the middle line and hit another vehicle that was coming the other direction. That car was being driven by a 23-year-old man, who passed away at the scene.

Police claim that the man was also speeding, going 78 MPH in a 40 MPH zone, and they say there were alcohol bottles inside his car and even scattered on the ground outside of it, as his vehicle rolled in the accident.

When someone is killed in a drunk driving accident, it's important for the family members to know that they may still be entitled to compensation for their loss and the costs.
